I was shocked and confused by last night's episode of American Idol. The bottom three were as follows:

Brandon

Phil

Sanjaya

Ok, after the performances on Tuesday night, I must honestly say that the only one I really remember is Sanjaya's, and that is only because it was soooooooo bad.

Why is it that he is still there and why did Brandon get sent home? I just don't get it. Even Sanjaya knew that he should have gone home. After Ryan Seacrest told him that he was safe, the look on his face showed that he knew he shouldn't be going back to his chair.

I totally don't get what the Americans who vote on American Idol are thinking.

This will be another typical season of American Idol. One where people like Chris Daughtry, Bo Bice, Ace Young, and Constantine Maroulis are sent home and people like Katherine McPhee, Taylor Hicks, and other total ding dongs are allowed to continue in the competition. Don't get me wrong, I like Sanjaya and I think he is a cutie, but come on, let's be realistic. Did he deserve to beat out any one of those other singers? I really don't think so.

We shall see what happens in the weeks to come!

Tori Spelling and Canadian husband Dean McDermott welcomed their first child on Tuesday.

A son weighing in at 6lbs 6ozs. They named their first born Liam Aaron McDermott. I like the name Liam and the Aaron obviously is after her late father Arron Spelling.

Tori's mom Candy was there for her daughter, for once. Apparently the two reconciled shortly before the birth of the baby.

Maybe Candy can get over herself now and realize that family is more important than money and fame.

Saturday, 25 Nov: Lindsay told a photographer that Paris Hilton poured a drink on her and then hit her with the glass.

Sunday, 26 Nov: Lindsay , Paris, and Britney got into Paris' car and Lindsay said "Paris never hit me, she's my friend. Everyone lies about everything. She's a nice person."

Monday, 27 Nov: They came face to face in a club in LA where Paris told Lindsay, "You are a f**king coked-out whore, don't ever say you are my friend again." Apparently, Lindsay was confused by this because they had been together the night before. Lindsay reportedly left the club in tears.

And todays Lindsay drama consists of an snobbish outburst by Miss Lohan. Apparently she was at a function when she saw Jessica Biel walk in with her assistant, who used to be Lindsay's assistant but quit a couple of months ago. Lindsay threw a "hissy fit". According to a witness, Lohan started screaming, "If she stays, I'm outta here! I can't look at that girl! I can't believe you would allow an assistant in here - she doesn't belong in here!"

Apparently, during a co-hosting appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly, Clay Aiken, in an attempt to silence Kelly, placed his hand over her mouth in a fun gesture. Ripa responded by saying, "Oh, that's a no-no. I don't know where that hand has been, honey."

Having watched Kelly Ripa from the time she made her first appearance as a 16 year old Hailey Vaughn on All My Children to her taking over where Kathy Lee Gifford left off, I know that she has an interesting sense of humor. I wouldn't take her statement to mean anything other than she didn't like his hand over her mouth. I wouldn't like for anyone to do that to me either.

Rosie O'Donnell took exception to Ripa's comment. She stated:

"To me that's a homophobic remark. If that was a straight man, if that was a cute man, or if that was a guy that she didn't question his sexuality, she would have said a different thing."

Ripa was quickly patched in by phone to address O'Donnell's accusations. "He reached across and covered my mouth with his hand," Ripa said. "I have three kids [and] he's shaking hands with everybody in the audience. It's cold and flu season. That's what I meant, and to imply that it's homophobic is outrageous, Rosie. And you know better. You should be more responsible."

O'Donnell emphasized that "from where I sit as a gay woman, the remark seemed homophobic." Ripa insisted, "I respect all people, regardless."

Personally, I am not a big fan of Rosie O'Donnell. I used to be.....I loved her show until the day she attacked Tom Selleck for doing commercials for the NRA. He tried to tell her on the show that he doesn't agree with every average Joe having a gun, but if they are allowed by law then he will support and organization like the NRA that will teach responsible use of guns. She didn't agree and she used all of his time on her show to chastise him. That didn't sit well with me......Ya Don't Mess With Magnum. I really think that Rosie will jump on the band-wagon of anything that will cause controversy.

And to top it all off, Clay Aiken has never said what his sexuality is so who knows if he is gay or not. And really, it is no one's business.

Kevin Smith — owner of Splash news, the agency that took the shot —said: "No picture is worth putting a child's life in danger. Now that we know Romeo has epilepsy I will not be authorising any of my photographers to take flash pictures of him. I think this is absolutely the right thing to do and I hope other agencies follow suit."

I hope that they do follow suit. I don't think the children of celebrities should be harrassed by photographers. Sure, take pics of them but take them at a safe distance.
